“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” – Proverbs 16:3

Being an athlete can be compared to the training of having a job or profession. One has to establish discipline, hard work, and consistency to meet the required qualifications. Months of rigorous exercise routine, staying on top of his record, and letting no one bring him down are just some of the hardships he goes through. If anyone can tell that being an athlete is easy, well, you need to put yourself in their shoes first.

Athletes are one-of-a-kind. They really give their best to be involved in a more advanced level of competition to attain their dreams in their chosen field of sport. It takes a lot of discipline for training, a clear mindset of the goal, and good nutritional habits to have a strong and healthy body to maximize their capability in terms of speed, endurance, and agility. Once that goal is decided, they will never stop to attain it, and no challenge can change it otherwise.

Choosing one sport to dedicate their life with is certainly admirable, but having to dedicate to three sports gains another level of respect. Running can be both for exercise purposes and sport, while swimming can be a leisure and also a sport, and cycling can be for both exercise and leisure sport, but to have all three as a serious sport in which they join in competitions is an amazing three-feat! A triathlon is a multisport race of endurance which consists of swimming, cycling, and running with different set of distances. They have to compete fast for the overall completion time, race each sport in a sequence with a transitioning time.

Committing to a triathlon is already game-changing, but to test yourself with a worldwide known competition for triathletes is a record in history. IronMan Triathlon is a series of long-distance triathlon races that is spearheaded by World Triathlon Corporation. The competition consists of 3.86 km swim, 180.25 km cycling, and 42.30 km run. It is knowingly one of the most difficult one-day sporting competitions in the world. This year, IronMan 70.3 was held at Subic Bay, Zambales, Philippines and participated by 287 athletes, that registered for the event last 2019.

Mr. Christian Jave “CJ” O. Velasquez, 20 years old, the youngest son of Dr. Vernie Opalla-Velasquez, the President of VER1REV Enterprises Corporation, was one of the official finishers of the IronMan 70.3, in which he competed for the first time. He participated under the category M18-24 in the half IronMan category of 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling, and 21 km running.

What was CJ’s secret on conquering such a great achievement in his age, even with his weight of 100 kg?

“elete has helped me with my training, especially with cycling, by not feeling thirsty all the time and with no occurrence of muscle cramps.” CJ said during a radio interview with Ms. Angie Daquis, the general manager of VER1REV Naga Branch. When he does his intense training, he mixes 50 drops of elete into one (1) liter of purified water, and consumes five (5) liters of the solution daily. CJ has been training for the IronMan event since he was in his junior high school years.

elete is a dietary supplement rich in sodium, potassium, magnesium, and chloride which provides electrolytes best suited for athletes and active persons such as construction workers. The said electrolytes assist in maintaining proper body hydration, preventing of muscle cramps, sustaining energy and maintaining endurance, and enhancing mental concentration. In addition to this, Dr. Renato U. Paragas, the medical director of VER1REV Enterprises Corporation, mentioned in his article entitled “elete, AN ATHLETIC BEVERAGE WITH AWESOME HEALTH BENEFITS”, the benefits that are experienced by athletes and active users of elete are helpful during exercise and training, which provides a huge advantage during competitions. This was true for CJ Velasquez. He mentioned that when he was just taking IONIQUE CMD and water, he consumed 1 liter of water during his cycling, but with elete, he only consumes 500 ml of water with 25 drops of elete for a distance of 90 kilometers cycling! He also said that even when he finished 90 km, he still feels like he could do more activities.

“elete is the best hydrating beverage for individuals engaged in sports and other physical activities because it contains no additives such as sweeteners, preservatives, colorings, flavorings; gives no calories; and has excellent value – cheaper than any other sports drink” Dr. Paragas added. It is also recommended by coaches to players, many of which are champions in their respective sports field.

“The ionic form of the element makes it easily assimilated by the body. For optimum benefits and hydration, electrolytes are required in their ionic form for it is only in this form that they function properly. Sweating and physical stress deplete the electrolytes resulting in muscle cramps and improper use of oxygen. For muscle function, magnesium is the major electrolyte required by the body. elete contains more than 60 major electrolytes to provide the best physical condition to make the individual more competitive and become champion.” He stated. Some of the health benefits of elete are the following: reduces anxiety and stress, boosts heart and kidney health, regulates blood pressure, aids in weight loss, slows down aging, promotes restful sleep, and many more.

Moreover, Dr. Paragas also wrote that “elete with its perfectly balanced, ionically charged electrolytes enable quick, effective assimilation of essential electrolytes. Its content of magnesium and potassium do not only provide more energy and reduce fatigue and tiredness but also help muscles function properly.”

True enough, CJ Velasquez completed his competition at a running time of 8 hours, 19 minutes, and 38 seconds. With that, he finished 10th Place in the M18-24 category, half IRonMan 70.3. “The secret of the potency of elete to support powerful athletes lies in its property to hydrate the cells of the body better.” Dr. Paragas concluded.

“When I crossed that finish line, I felt all the happiness in that moment.” CJ reflected. In that finish line, he proudly displayed the tarpaulin of elete, smiling widely and victorious with his wonderful achievement.

The VER1REV Family congratulates you in your victory, Christian “CJ” Jave! We are so proud of you! Indeed, nothing is impossible if you believe in yourself, in Him, and in the amazing effects of elete in an athlete body!
